Original Review [April 3rd, 2020] (4):
"From Blood and Ash
We Will Rise!"

I honestly don't know what to say.
JLA's fantasy books are simply exquisite and written amazingly. The plot, character, and everything else about FB&A was amazing.🥰

It's funny. I'm signed up for JLA's newsletter yet I had no idea that this had come out March 31st until I saw the news that it did on March 31st.
I am utterly ashamed of myself.
Good thing I made up for my lack of knowledge by reading FB&A as soon as I could.
I loved Covenant series so much! So seeing part of Alex in Poppy was super cool! I always love it when female protagonists can fight on their own and don't have to rely on others to fight for them.🔥
“You're an absolutely stunning, murderous little creature.
Poppy is the Maiden, bound to be given to the gods on her nineteenth birthday. She's had a sheltered and lonely life until one day, her paths cross with Hawke, one of the youngest Royal Guards in a long time. Little does she know that brief meeting slowly turns into a something that could change the course of the while kingdom.....
Hawke was super mysterious in the beginning, but like always, the men the MC meets with are usually mysterious, whether it's a good thing or bad....(view spoiler)
If you're not like me—who's super oblivious to very obvious clues and other details, then maybe you won't be all that surprised with the plot twist. I was for sure though. But that's just me.😅
All in all, the ending really pumps me for the next book in the series—whenever that comes out.....
THIS TIME, I will be prepared for the release date of the next book.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
