This is well researched wish fulfillment, and it’s fun. The early relationship between Hillary & Bill is sexy, and the portrayals of both Bill & Trump are so pitch-perfect, they had me laughing out loud, a lot. Plus, I found the ending very moving.

Holly R W I enjoyed it too.

Jennifer Welsh I’m glad, Holly! Have you read others of hers you’d recommend? I loved Prep.

Holly R W I loved Sisterland by Curtis Sittenfeld Sisterland, even though it got very mixed reviews here on GR. More recently, I read You Think It, I'll Say It by Curtis Sittenfeld , which is a book of short stories and light, summer time reading.

I was fortunate to be able to attend an author talk with Sittenfeld. She was very warm and down to earth.

Jennifer Welsh Oh, I love seeing authors, that’s great. Was it about Rodman? I appreciate the recs - along with the visuals (seriously good for me)! Thank you, Holly. 😊

Holly R W Jennifer, C. Sittenfeld came to my public library as part of a book tour for "Eligible". I eagerly began reading the book after seeing her. However, this is the one book of hers that did not hold my interest. I DNF it. She still remains a favorite author.

That's good to know, Holly, thank you. :)

SaintCarol had the exact same response - the language was so accurate i felt like i was reading direct quotes

Jennifer Welsh Exactly, SaintCarol! I could hear them.

Anne Jennifer, I didn't suspect that this book would be sexy or fun. Too bad Trump shows up. Unless it's complete satire. ??

Jennifer Welsh Hi Anne, yes, it’s a light read with only a brief Trump appearance that amuses rather than disturbs. And, yes, it’s sexy. Some readers felt uncomfortable with the sexiness, but I loved it. I would not call the book a satire, no. Are you thinking of reading it? Have you read others by her?
