I loved Sisterland, even though it got very mixed reviews here on GR. More recently, I read , which is a book of short stories and light, summer time reading.

I was fortunate to be able to attend an author talk with Sittenfeld. She was very warm and down to earth.

Jennifer, C. Sittenfeld came to my public library as part of a book tour for "Eligible". I eagerly began reading the book after seeing her. However, this is the one book of hers that did not hold my interest. I DNF it. She still remains a favorite author.

Jennifer, I didn't suspect that this book would be sexy or fun. Too bad Trump shows up. Unless it's complete satire. ??

Hi Anne, yes, it’s a light read with only a brief Trump appearance that amuses rather than disturbs. And, yes, it’s sexy. Some readers felt uncomfortable with the sexiness, but I loved it. I would not call the book a satire, no. Are you thinking of reading it? Have you read others by her?
