Chelsea, to me, the movie is so epic that I think the book might quite possibly be a let down. Not that I've read the book, but I consider the film a cenematic masterpiece.

If you enjoy more than just a scary shark story, than this one may be worth the read for you. They took out all the mafia and romance plots for the movie, so the book definitely had more depth, but it also felt like not enough shark time.
