Why two stars? I watched a few episodes of the Hulu series and thought it was alright. Maybe the difference in a tv show vs novel?

So, I’ve been seeing a lot of reviews saying the show is 10x better than the book. I haven’t seen it yet so I’m not sure. I listened to the audiobook of this and the narration was fine, I just found the story to be very repetitive and not very climatic. I did like that it was set in Ireland and gave some different perspectives of class and politics. Maybe because I read a lot of fantasy and dystopian books I just found it to be meh.
Good analysis. I'd say give the show a try, you might like it more. I definitely won't try the book now, thanks!
