Turns out that the movie was way different than the book. But that's okay, because I'm a Howl simp first, human second it was soo good! Very tempted to go watch it again.

This book was so charming and wonderful, therefore I don't think I will ever be able to properly review it.
(That sentence took me 5 minutes to type. I am shooketh.)
I loved everything about this book, from the way that the simplistic writing made me feel immersed in the magic to the characters (but especially the characters. Can I marry Howl? Although, I feel like that will interfere with my ship because you knOW I SHIP IT LIKE CRAZY WITH HOWL ALWAYS BEING ADORABLY MELODRAMATIC AND SOPHIE BEING SO MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE AAAAHHH SOPHIE X HOWL OTP OTP OTP OT-)
*ahem*

But seriously. These two are couple goals:
aaagaghg stop too cute too cute too cute
I really loved the characters' dynamic and the way that they were like a family (I'm sorry I'm soft for that trope I can't help it), and also the way that appearances were portrayed in this book overall.
And while I've never watched the Studio Ghibli version (I promise that I'm remedying that VERY SOON), I feel like I'm obsessedprobably from the fanart intake, and experienced a bit of nostalgia while reading this. It was probably just the longing to live in this world, though.

I’m glad you enjoyed it! I’ve been wanting to read this book for a while, since I’ve seen the Ghibli movie - which is amazing! :)

- I love this book and the movie so. much. fjlsdkjflskjd they're really different and you're right, it doesn't matter which one you experience first because they are both. absolutely. amazing!
- tbh i only read the other two books in the series for howl and sophie, and while i didn't enjoy those books as much as i enjoyed this one, their relationship is so perfect fljskdjlfksj

Loved this book. Just finished the second and about to finish my journey with Sophie and Howl with the third. Love the strong characters and the important moral lessons.

The only reason I watched the movie AT LAST this year is that my friend told me it's different from the book so I don't need to worry about spoiling it.

There was a time when I didn't want to see a Ghibli movie because the guys are so sooo beautiful that I couldn't even see them without my heart hurting. (just a bit dramatic ik)

1. I'm not a full-time reviewer, haha. I'm just a student :)
2. Well, I suppose it would depend on the situation, but the track with only one.
3. Probably The Cruel Prince. Although I think that TV shows are better for book adaptations, in which case my answer would be The Lunar Chronicles.
4. Oh boy, there are a lot. Either those "Preventing Homosexuality" books, After, Loveboat, Taipei, Anna and the French Kiss, or the Shatter Me series.
