Notes: Numbing nihilism, singing blues with every breath: of war campaigns' unebbing strain, and the callous kiss of death.

Notes:
(1) Okay, let's go! The last leg of my "Hunger Games" audiobook reread.
(2) I wonder whether I'll like this book better than I did originally? I remember not caring for it very much my first time through.
(3) I seem to recall part of the reason this book rubbed me the wrong way was the abundance of Gale. I really hate Gale.
(4) It's about to get all grimdark in here!"

(1) I'll take a bit of a break after this. I've been doing daily audiobook updates for two years and, frankly, I don't drive much because of lockdown, which was my main listening time.
(2) As for what's next, I have options. I could do a run of Neil Gaiman books (Neverwhere, Stardust, Coraline) or the James Bond novels. There's no natural successor like there's been."

I think it was good for what it tried to do, but it was too much of a departure from the first two books for my taste.

Thanks so much, Paulette! Happy Holidays to you too :)

💋 My Pleasure Jayson & You as well❄️🎄🎅🎄

Possibly because I have to listen to him talk and look so smug all the time. Movies, for good or ill, are a multi-sensory experience.

smug right😂😂 are you watching the movies too after reading every book?

Well, I'm making my own gifs, so I'm watching the movies before reading the books. Though, since this is a two-parter, I've only seen the first film so far.

sounds fun! i watches both films after reading the whole book, i didn't want any spoiler from the films

Luckily for me, I read all the books some time ago, and don't have to worry about spoilers :)

yeah that's lucky! it's usually hard for me to avoid spoilers, i somehow always come across one or two plot twists😅

It happens a lot if you spend time on social media. If you're really lucky, you'll forget it all once you come to read the book.

unfortunately i've got a good memory when it comes to plot twists and spoilers😬

Truly a double-edged sword for a reader. 🤔

To keep pining for a girl who obviously doesn't have respect and empathy toward them, yeah, they're pretty dumb. But love makes you dumb, doesn't it? At the very least, it causes you to do things you otherwise wouldn't.

Thanks! Review should take a few days more. I do plan on reading The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes soon. I just need to clear my plate first.

Thank you very much, Sakshi! Happy you liked it 😁

Thanks, Tisha! I appreciate it. Glad to see you liked the book too :)

What about him? (view spoiler) He really grew on me as a character.

Who me? I can't, I didn't like the book that much. 🤷♂

Thanks, Veronica! I agree. Definitely me least favorite as well, but also definitely had its moments :)
