Wilkerson is a very clear writer, and her premise is an interesting one. As with Warmth, however, she needs a better editor because she's repetitive. Also, beyond her main idea I didn't really find interesting analyses that kept me reading. Important book, and maybe really eye-opening for someone who hasn't done a lot of other reading about the Black experience in the US, but I was underwhelmed.
