The writing was ok at best, trite at worst. There were several points where I had no idea why the author included certain bits. Very random indeed. And honestly, the story was a bit of a snoozer. I've come expect more of my YA authors, and this one fell flat.

It was terrible. Don't read the sequel, It includes these words "She looked like Selma Hayek but with bigger boobs." or something like that. Trash. Selma has huge knockers.

Ugh... I heard they're making the movies. Honestly, the movies will have to be better than the books because you can't really go much lower. Even Twilight was better, and that's saying a lot.
It is an interesting story that could have been really great, but the author failed to tell it well. I've only read reviews of the rest of the books and gotten the gist of the whole series that way. I just couldn't bring myself to read further. This is on par with the Evermore (I think that's what it's called) series. Things just don't make sense sometimes.
