I almost DNF-ed this, but I stuck through it. Too bad cause the first half is loads better than second. UGH.

:) yup, when I finish with Sarah MacLean this is first to go (this series I mean)
I felt the same, I read all three in this series and was left with a poor impression. I did love her standalone novel "Ride the Fire," though. Wonderful and very "Last of the Mohicans"-like. :D
I think Ride the fire is a part of a series as well. In this one, I loved the first book, really loves it, but second two were bad.
Yes, it's part of the Blakewell/Kenleigh trilogy. I only read that one and was never interested in the others, and from comments I think I've not missed anything. :DAny reason why you found them bad?
I can't pit my finger on it, it was simply boring to me and I didn't like the story and where it was going as it went along.
Oh, I see. In my case, I explained in my review all my issues with the last of the novels, which is also extensive to the whole series. :)
Sorry this didn't work for you. This author is hit or miss with me. Better luck on next read!
