This was a truly great read and I loved getting to read their story. The bond these two people was developed because of a terrifying situation, but they are honestly exactly what each other needs on this day and every other. At one point the heroine is trying trying to make sense of why this happened to her and she comes to the conclusion that she was meant to meet the hero. This is how he was brought into her life. This was said with so much introspection, that I loved it.
