really liked it
bookshelves: oprah-told-me-to, read-in-2020, liburrrrrry-book

Oprah picked it as a best of - need I say more? Okay just kidding (even though she did). This was another selection from the NYT best of 2020 in fiction and once again it was a winner. If you’re looking for a mystery or thriller you might find yourself disappointed as this one focuses on the aftermath of all those involved in the discovery of “the boy in the field.

debra Yes???? ;- ))

Kelly (and the Book Boar) This was good - not so much a mystery rather than a story about how finding the boy affected the families over the next year or so (timeline is already blurry since I have zero brain cells).

Mike This might be the shortest, gif-less and positive review you ever written, Kelly. Poaching this one for the mountain as I see a blurb from Dennis Lehane that convinces me as well.

Kelly (and the Book Boar) It was great. I’m off work this week using the terrible app so no gifs or substance of any kind 🤣 At this point I’m just attempting to at least spit something out here so my currently reading list doesn’t stay at over 50 into the new year.

Debbie Damn you, adding another. I miss your gifs, too. What’s your job? Cool that you get to write reviews there!

JanB This sounds right up my alley! Thanks for bringing it to my attention Kelly!

Kelly (and the Book Boar) It’s Oprah’s fault 😜 I hope you guys like this one.

Oh, and I use my lunch hour to write reviews or do them in the evenings after work. I’m just a pee-on from 9-5, but this week I have declared to be computer free so I’m struggling with this app.
