it was ok
bookshelves: young-adult, mystery-thriller, 2021

Finished this one just to finish it.

I just felt like Barnes couldn't keep the exciting puzzle-solving tension going through this book. The plot became convoluted and messy, and I found it harder to suspend disbelief for. Also, I'm over both Grayson and Jameson at this point.

Siya Hans I'm 200 pages in and at this point I'm convinced that the old man had way too many resources and an exorbitant amount of time at hand. And I don't even know what it is they're looking for anymore.

Sthuti Choudhary Oh I really loved the book, I usually find myself agreeing with your opinions but I guess not in this case 🙈

That's a good thing in this case! :) I'm glad you enjoyed it more.

Franzi I couldn't agree more. I loved the first book but this one was just disappointing

IM211 -Scattered thoughts- I left it halfway through... Ive read atleast 4 of her books and I started seeing some repeated themes in this one.

Autumn Jurgensen Oh no! I'm almost finished with the first book! I had no idea there was a sequel until I saw this..I do feel it would be a hard storyline to continue.

Yeah. It requires the author to keep opening up bigger and wider mysteries to keep it interesting, but it just got wacky and too unbelievable.

slow reading and vibes never liked jameson and greyson so not sure if i wanna pick this one >.< thought it'd be about the other two brothers.

Sean Emily, I’ve been trusting you. Can you give me the spoilers so I don’t have to subject myself to this? 😬

Kimberly Sabatini So funny, I liked the 2nd better--thought the plot in the first one was obvious--🤪

´¡²Ô²Ô²¹â€¢M²¹°ù¾±±ð I started the second as soon as I finished the first. I ended up only getting through the second or third chapter before calling it quits. I think I’m gonna try to read it again soon

Planxti's Imaginary World Good to know. Thanks for the review
