** spoiler alert ** Ugh. I hate stupid Bella, who could not be more of an idiot. I hate stupid Jacob, who's a poor man's Edward. And I hate that there were over 400 pages with no Edward, and that Meyers completely screwed up the hearing Edward's voice thing, because it would have been so much cooler if he'd been keeping tabs on her and communicating to her somehow. I also hated the constant reminders of the "hole in her chest" and all the typos (where is the editor?). I hate that I could see the "twists" coming from miles away but Bella is too much of a moron to figure it out even when Edward is standing right in front of her explaining it in no uncertain terms! I hate the "I love you!" "No, I love you more!" No, I love YOU more!" "But why do you love me? I'm not good enough for you!" "But why do YOU love ME? I'M not good enough for YOU" back and forth baloney.

Most of all, I hate that I'm still going to read the next two books.

Alison "Most of all, I hate that I'm still going to read the next two books."

and see the movie!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Michelle Yes! I was also disappointed in the voices that weren't really Edward and the fact that Edward was missing from most of the book. But, oh what a reunion!

Confession: I skipped ahead just to make sure he came back at some point. Then I went back and kept reading.

Sarah--wow, you blew through this book--perhaps to get it over with? I swear the next book isn't as bad. And I agree--I was soooo disappointed that Edward's voice was all in Bella's head. I was hoping that he was actually communicating with her. Mostly because the idea that he was still trying to be a part of her life after dumping her pissed me off so much. I had a grand time hating the crap out of Edward. What a letdown.

Sarah I knew he was going to come back, I just didn't think it'd be over 400 pages in. Lame. And his melodramatic histrionics are starting to wear thin on my nerves.

THANK YOU!!! He's such a drama queen. AND I wish he'd just get off Bella's back. "I must protect you." blah blah blah. Ugh.

Michelle But she's just so fragile...

: )

Sarah It must be exhausting being them.

Vomit.

Robbie Bashore I laughed out loud at this review *and* at several of the comments! Maybe having the voices *not* be Edward was the author's idea of a twist?

Sadly, I anticipate I will also read the other two books.
