This book is one of the best books I've ever read. It has so many layers. It is an excellent coming of age book that deals with the issues of racism, injustice, intolerance, and bigotry so eloquently. It also shows the love between a father and his children, and the true meaning of courage. It's a shame that Harper Lee only wrote this one book. But at least she hit the ball out of the park with this one book. Atticus Finch is one of my all time favorite heroes.

yes this book is AMAZING! The children in this book have the minds parents wished there children had at such young ages. Indeed Atticus a favorite hero, the qualities of a young gentlemen.

It was a book I had to finish, even when it wasn't required reading anymore. That says something.
Lady Danielle: There was a movie made of "To Kill A Mockingbird" with Gregory Peck doing an outstanding portrayal of Atticus Finch.I highly recommend it to you and to any fans of this book.
I know about the movie, although I haven't watched it yet. I plan to when I get a chance. Thanks, Mary.
