Crime and Punishment

Fyodor Dostoevsky is a very skilled author but I think for me at least, is the complexity of the characters that make me like his books so much.
Crime and Punishment is my second read by this author, after I fell in love with The Idiot, that follows the story of a poor student that commits murderer and his journey of confessing the crime.

The book has a philosophic & psychological way of presenting the plot and I confess , at first I was very afraid to begin this book BUT once you overcome the first part and meet the characters, you realize that the book is more then you read at first glance and you find yourself at the end wanting for more!
The themes of the book are very complex in my opinion: nurture vs nature, redemption, guilty conscience, family love, friendship, consequences of a crime; and the murderer who is not a total villain but actually a very kindred and smart man .

Loved also the subtle romance between the MC and Sonia, after finishing my exam I cannot wait to see the movie to make a comparison....
