Conventionally Yours (True Colors, #1)

If I had to describe this book with one word, it would be "nice".
Both Conrad and Alden are likable characters. I liked that I could really feel how much they disliked each other in the beginning, unlike some other books where the main characters are "enemies" only on paper. It felt believable here, but it was never too much.
I also enjoyed how naturally and gradually their relationship developed from acceptance to friends to something more and how it helped them with the issues they were dealing with.
Some things that happen throughout the story are too convenient and my investment in the story fizzled out a bit in the last few chapters, but overall it was an enjoyable read.
The audiobook was ok. I enjoyed Kirt Graves's narration, even though he made the characters sound older, but I struggled with Joel Froomkin's narration in this one.

Thanks, Lyn! ❤️ Yeah, I don't think it was too original or special in any way. 😉

Happy reading, or rather listening, Rellim! 💗 Hope you'll enjoy it! I'll be looking forward to your thoughts. 🤗

You must be missing a 5 stars read, Snjez. 😭😭
Commiserations.
Hope the wind blow in your favour next since my prayers didn't work. 😂

Thanks, Jan! 💕 The was this is going, I don't predict many 5-star-reads in my near future. 😂 But it's fine. If I get too frustrated, I can always pick up one of my favourites. 😉

Well, it's mostly the two of them on a road trip, playing a few games here and there and contemplating life. So, yes, not much going on. 😅 But I enjoyed their conversations and getting to know them better as they got closer. 🙂
Thanks, Ariana! 😘

LOL Papie! And thanks. 💕 I think it's a lot like some other books I've read that deal with the same tropes, so nothing groundbreaking here. But still enjoyable. 🙂

This was only my second book by this author. I wasn't too impressed by the first one I read by her, and there's also one I've tried reading but couldn't get into it. 😬 But yes, you could say this one was a bit uneventful. Everything's right in the story, but it was nothing new.

Thanks for the recommendation, Fani! 💕 That's good to know. 😊 I do have book 1 on my Kobo, so I'll definitely give the series a try.
