So that’s modernism. Meh. I don’t mind inner thoughts, but prefer when they’re insightful or at least interesting. I wasn’t seeing so much of that with Mrs. D. Maybe I need a professor to put it in context.

Lynne King Steve, I read this book years ago and I just didn't enjoy it. I found it very dull and boring quite frankly. And yet I loved all of Virginia Woolf's Diaries and her Letters and the Letters between VW and Vita Sackville-West, are well, just delightful.

So Ian who had reviewed it recently said that I would really like it and I've re-read it and he was right, but I just happen to love it. It is such a social document that in itself makes it a great read.

Steve I'm certainly open to reading more Woolf. To the Lighthouse is highest on my list. I'm also willing to believe that there are subtleties in her writing that a second go with her will make more apparent. Thanks for encouraging me in that direction, Lynne.

Lynne King Steve, Just watching Wales in the rugby against England. My husband is Welsh and it looks, DV, that England will be trounced. My here I am English, supporting the Welsh. That's wifely loyalty for you isn't it?

Back to Virginia Woolf, I'm looking at "Between the Acts" at the moment and I'm trying to write a review on "Mrs Dalloway".

Steve Good for you on both counts, Lynne -- loyalty and reviewing.

Lynne King Steve, And Wales trounced England 30-3. Wonderful. Now we have to watch France. I just hope that they don't get the wooden spoon. This has been wall to wall rugby but it is super!

Steve We get next to no coverage of rugby over here. I remember how exciting it was in France when they hosted the World Cup a few years ago. Was it Chabal who was so fun to watch?

I'm happy for Wales. For a small nation, they've certainly had a large share of successes.

Lynne King Sébastien Chabal was brilliant - a true personality.

Yes, good for Wales. We're going there on holiday in June.

Ian "Marvin" Graye Haha, Professor Traveller is available for tuition.

Steve I got that impression, too, Ian. :D

Maybe I'll have a more receptive mind for To the Lighthouse, the next Woolf I plan to read. I'll be sure to look at the Graye Notes, too.

Ian "Marvin" Graye I don't think the Professor really liked the Graye Notes either.
