Vida Nova

It is a problematic poetic work, and I think it is necessary to know the author, his life, and his environment to appreciate poetry.
I do not know the history of the 13th century. However, it was a century when literature moved from Latin writing to vulgar languages.
Dante writes this story after meeting Beatrice, with whom he falls head over heels in love. Then, she dies.
The author alternates songs, sonnets, and dialogue, invoking love and God.
In the second part, less daring and elegant, Dante composes dialogues.
It is a moving collection despite everything.
