EVERY STAR THERE IS TO STAR!!!!!!

Yeah, a little bit. It’s also the best book in the history of ever.

Sure it has a little kissing

but it also has pirates

and bad guys

and swordsmen

and giants

and R.O.U.S.es

I’m not writing a synopsis. I’m not writing a review. I’m just telling you if you have not already read it, read it now.

You ask: “What if I don’t like it???? INCONCEIVABLE!

If you read it, hate it, and have the desire to 1 Star it or say bad things, you should probably unfriend me first. I might be inclined to light your ass up. Just kidding. Maybe.

“Come my love, I'll tell you a tale
Of a boy and girl and their love story
And how he loved her oh so much
And all the charms she did possess

Now this did happen once upon a time
When things were not so complex
And how he worshipped the ground she walked
And when he looked in her eyes he became obsessed

This love was stronger than the powers so dark
A prince could have within his kingdom
His spells to weak and steal a heart
Within her breast but only sleeping

He said "Don't you know I love you oh so much
And lay my heart at the foot of your dress?"
She said "Don't you know that storybook love's
Always have a happy ending?"

Then he swooped her up just like in the books
And on his stallion they rode away
My love is like a storybook story
But it's as real as the feelings I feel
My love is like a storybook story
But it's as real as the feelings I feel"

Erica I was surprised that the book was not exactly the same as the movie! Ditto The Last Unicorn and Willow.
And that's what comes of watching movies and then reading books afterward.

Igor Ljubuncic There are two books. This book is based on the movie. The movie itself is based on the original book, which was written some three hundred years ago. And William Goldman made it legendary.

Kelly (and the Book Boar) Yeah, this version isn't the one I read - I just added the first that popped up on the list. Mine has some serious fugly cover art, smells like old book, looks like it's about a billion years old and is falling apart from being overly loved ; )

Carmen This is one of my all-time favorite books.

Heather ~*dread mushrooms*~ Skyla Happy Go Lucky and Lost in Books wrote: "I still think Humperdinck and Tyrone were bumping uglies."

I was wondering about this the last time I watched the movie. Good to know I'm not the only one, lol.

Karlyflower *The Vampire Ninja, Luminescent Monster & Wendigo Nerd Goddess of Canada (according to The Hulk)* FYI... there is only one book... the whole S. Morgenstern bit is just a writing prop Goldman used. I've looked this shit up :P

I just meant I don't have this version and didn't pay attention to which button I clicked way back when I added this book to my "read" pile. I know I started with an abridged/movie version (a/k/a dumbed down for people who don't like to read) and was pleasantly surprised to find out years later there was a version with like 100 more pages to the story.

Karlyflower *The Vampire Ninja, Luminescent Monster & Wendigo Nerd Goddess of Canada (according to The Hulk)* Oh okay... I just didn't want anyone else freaking out trying to find a book that didn't exist.... like I did *facepalm*

Kelly (and the Book Boar) That's what the thread below is for. It's like Catfish for booknerds ; )

/topic/show/...

Cathryn I want to write a letter to the publisher now about the deleted scene and see if I get a letter back.

Shandra I sort of love this review!!!! ;0)

Kelly (and the Book Boar) @Shandra - YAY ME! I'll take it. I'm such an ultra Fangirl - and I'm old, so I trump all the other Fangirls who haven't been fangirling over this book for 20+ years ; )

You're not supposed to reveal that. That's the whole point. Oh man ...

Igor Ljubuncic Shh, it's our little secret, like that red-haired milkman's body buried in the back yard of the neighbor's house, just underneath the birch free.
Igor

Karlyflower *The Vampire Ninja, Luminescent Monster & Wendigo Nerd Goddess of Canada (according to The Hulk)* Hey, that was my father.....

you killed my father, prepare to die ....

(also, you don't have to write your name at the bottom of each post as it's directly above whatever you type - fyi)
