Giiiirl I had to read one of the off campus books just to get a grip! This book is traumatizing but I loved it!! I can’t move past how sick Verity was, I don’t give a damn about the letter YOU CAN’T MAKE THOSE KIND OF FEELINGS UP!

DEF team manuscript. the timing is all weird. why would you write about your daughter killing your other daughter after she actually died. verity is def effed in the head

team manuscript! i have so many questions lol why didn't she add a disclaimer at the start of the manuscript if it was only a writing exercise? why write that letter and hide it? it was surely just an excuse. if she really wanted to ask Low for help, why didn't she approach her? the book got me feeling all sorts of crazy

Yeah I think I'm also team manuscript. So many red flags. Also, I feel like April was very protective of Verity and they were alone a lot together. April could've easily gotten her out with Crew if she was really afraid of Jeremy. She wanted to stay because she was obsessed. If she had hurt Lowen my suspicions would be confirmed.

she showed how manipulative she was in the manuscript. She’s so good at making stuff up and she had so much time to when she was pretending to be immobilized. there’s absolutely no way that she’s innocent of the stuff she wrote in the manuscript.

Finished the book today, Team Manuscript. Like, why would her husband re-read the whole thing to have the same reaction? He knows what's in the manuscript, why would he need to skim it again?

Also, that would not explain how and why Crew would cut his mouth or how his mouth got cut in the first instance. It's like it was a punishment of sorts or she told him to do it. Idk. She never accounted for that.

But also... for some reason Jeremy gave me stalkerish/sinister vibes? Am I the only one? Like he was *too* good of a person?

i read verity back in january and i'm still blankly staring at walls lost in thought over this book everyday. it's definitely my favorite read od the year and one of my fav books ever!

Team manuscript!! I really wanted Lowen to get in touch with Verity’s parents or even meet with them in person so that they could expose her and explain why they disowned her! If her parents think she’s terrible, there MUST be a reason! Colleen Hoover should write another book from Jeremy’s perspective b/c I also believe he knows more than we think he knows!!

Love this review. I’m also team manuscript. Ash made a good point I hadn’t remembered about Verity’s parents! I’d she truly was such a great wife/mother/family woman, would they have disowned her so quick and told Jeremy their tragedies were karma? Probably not.
Also, there seemed to be a lot of manipulation in the letter, whereas the manuscripts seemed to just bare it all. The letter felt overly floral. Like she had to figure out how to convince him sooo much that her manuscript was fake.
Also, if she was such the great person she claimed to be and we know Jeremy loved family, how come he admitted he never really felt that deep connection with her? Because he probably knew she was a little crazy.

I felt so gaslighted by this damned book. Up is down, left is right... wtf did I just experience? Because that's what this is - it's not a novel. It's an experience. And hoo boy it was a doozey. I think these people are all so damaged and manipulative. What is "good"? What is "bad"?

*** SPOILERS AHEAD SPOILERS AHEAD** OMG so many little clues that come up reading the reviews. Verity's parents saying God punishes the wicked??? Maybe they knew their daughter was PSYCHO. (Totally team manuscript) Like how did the baby get the scar on her face? She didn't cover that up. Someone brought up being alone a lot with the nurse, YEAAHHH she could've asked her for help and gotten away, HIPA idk. And so coincidental the timing of the girls passing? What about her feelings towards breastfeeding, no explanation in the letter. She's not cleared in my book. Dots are not adding up for me. I haven't liked the Colleen Hoover books I read too too much, but this one GOT ME FEELING ALL TYPES OF STUFF TO A DIFFERENT LEVEL. I'm- shooketh.

Literally same here!! I just finished this book a few minutes ago and before writing my review, I stared at the wall in front of me with my mouth open. My faince asked me if I was okay and I just said I need to process this. WOW!!

Am I supposed to believe that the woman wrote some fiction about killing her daughter, went back to the beginning of the book and changed EVERYTHING for an EXERCISE?? Only in one night??? No ma’am, that woman is crazy, and Jeremy believing what he read only makes me more sure of it.

Team manuscript all the way, she definitely changed her story to stop Jeremy and Low, there’s no way any of it makes sense, Harper, the knife, any of it

Team manuscript i just finished reading its 3 am and I don’t know what to do or what to think but deep in my heart the manuscript si the real truth.

Whether or not the manuscript is the real truth, Verity is batsh*t crazy for faking her sickness! The woman is terrifying.

I’m REELING after that ending. But I also think that manuscript was way too far fetched for an “exercise��. Up to the point just before Harper died, okay maybe. But writing about Harpers death like that…nah. She did that shit. Her handwritten letter was just her last effort at trying to save her own ass.

Just finished it and WHAT THE HELL 😭 I’ll never be the same
