really liked it
bookshelves: fantasy, fiction, read-with-isadora

For years I have been aware of this series as after the Harry Potter phenomenon it exploded. It's HP but with Greek gods instead of witches & wizards. But my 9yo recently read it and loved it, and insisted I read it before we watched the movie together. So I did - and it was enjoyable! I really liked how it taught you about the Greek gods.

Side note: Rick Riordan has a negative opinion of some things that I have a positive opinion of - namely Los Angeles and Opera - bizarre!

Suzanne You're at the Rick Riordan stage of parenting! My boys loved all of his books and I ended up recommending them to a lot of other parents looking for great stories for their children. There's a reason he's won so many Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ Choice Awards!

Otis Chandler Just posted my review - but yes I guess I am!

Amar Pai Lol didn’t realize it was a stage but Izzy definitely was into these books

Trenton I read all of these books in my early 20's when I still believed in magic and Gods, and really enjoyed the story as well as learning about the mythology I was unfamiliar with for the most part.

Mike Violano I read the Percy Jackson series years ago and then revisited The Lightning Thief recently with my 10 year old grandson. Great fun and a springboard to learn about Greek/Roman myths.

Isadora super good and really funny!
