The Duke Who Knew Too Much (Heart of Enquiry, #1)

** spoiler alert **
I bought this book years ago. I read about 50pgs and then put it away. I didn't like the H. After reading two friend's reviews, I decided to give it another chance. I'm glad I did! I ended up loving it.
The H was emotionally wounded, making him a very cold man. It was hard to like him. What won me over was his protectiveness/possivness over the h. It's funny, cause I would have hated those traits in real life but find it romantic in books. That was the only way he new how to show his love. Dominance being the big word!
I figured out the mystery pretty early on but still enjoyed reading how it unfolded. The author was able to balance both romance and mystery well.
Warning!! This book is a lot steamier than your average hr. I enjoyed it but some people might not.
Conclusion: a slow beginning turns into a very good story. I highly recommend!
