YOU IS KIND, YOU IS SMART, YOU IS IMPORTANT!!
GENRE - FICTION / DRAMA - COMEDY.
Ironically I got to know about this book after watching the Oscar nominated movie "THE HELP" nonetheless that still did not kill the intrest I had in reading this book and most of the times I went back to watch a few scenes from the movie that were mentioned in the book to see how precisely were they enacted.
About the Book -
The book is about African American maids and their relationships with their White American employers. The storyline majorly revolves around 3 characters....
Eugenia "Skeeter" Phelan : - A privileged White American Girl who was brought up by her maid Contestine who was very close to her than her own mother. Skeeter wants to be a journalist and write a book.
Aibileen Clark : - Works as a Help for Leefolt family taking care of Mae Mobley the cutest baby i have ever seen in movies and who is hugely devastated by the loss of her son Treelore.
Minny Jackson : - Works for Miss Ceelia Foorte Family has a abusive husband she is shit scared of and keeps loosing her jobs for sassing around her employers.
The 3 of them get together to write a book about the life and the experience along with 11 other African maids in Jackson, Mississippi,USA.
The best fiction read I have come across so far, the book is full of varied emotions there is Comedy, Romance, Action and a hell lot of Drama involved. I would easily have rated this book more than a 5 .The book has more to offer than the movie does and actually it didn't make me much of a difference of watching the movie before reading the book.
THIS BOOK IS IN MY ALL TIME BEST BOOK LIST,
Higly recommended book to all those people who looking for a fun read.
Thanks 😊

However what I liked about this book that it keep me glued and interested and made me happy that I choose to read this book.

However ..."
Much appreciated, Ammit.

However you are right certain books the audio book version must be more interesting and since you have advised it I might aswell give it a try.😉

Absolutely! I, too, am old school and nearly always prefer a book in hand. Only at night, when my old eyes are giving out, do I switch to an e-book with enlarged text.
