This is a phenomenal, inspiring book, that brought me to tears several times. Dave Grohl is an energetic, committed, hardworking mofo that loves his mom.
If you’re a fan, you’ll love him even more, if you’re not, let this serve as a primer on how to never give up.

His interaction with Nandi is the stuff joy is made of. On your advice, I made it a point to choose the audible edition, which I never do if I can avoid it. Sounds great!

Ok Char, this is all your fault. I rarely read non-fiction, I almost never read biography and I just ignore celebrity autobiography. BUT... your five stars and comments got me curious so my wife and I just played the audiobook sample and now we're the proud owners of The Storyteller, which we'll listen to together on the dark winter nights ahead.
Ha! I will happily take the blame!This isn't the normal celebrity autobio. It's mostly tales about Dave's music and family, which are the two most important things in his life. I truly do think you both will enjoy it. Be sure to listen after the credits at the end-there's one more tale there.

She is a whole stack of somethings packed into a 40lb sack. I love her energy and excitement.
I will be happy to share my thoughts, and look forward to seeing what Mike and wife think. BUT, long waits at all my libraries, so, it's going to be a while.

I am on the library waiting list for this one, but I am 216 on 21 copies, so It might be a while before i get to enjoy it.

I had a long wait when I put it on reserve as well. I don't know what happened, but I was expecting it to be months, but it was only a few weeks. Maybe some of them didn't have time to read it when it came in? Hopefully it will be the same for you both!
I also had a long wait when I put it on reserve but man when it was my turn I tossed all other books aside and was not disappointed. Although my library app said "Looks like you are already listening to 2 other books would you like to give it to the next person but maintain your place in line?" I actually shouted, "Hell no I don't!" Selfishly I admit.

What do you mean "never give up"? Did he struggle throughout his life?
He grew up using pillows as a drum set until he could get a real set. Nirvana broke up but Dave Grohl went on. That type of thing.
