Read 5 times. Last read 2018.
This is one of my all time favorite book series. Seriously, TCoN (and LotR!) is what I grew up on. I never really attempted to review it (I'm not really going to try now) because I don't even know what I can say about it that will accurately express how much I love this series and how big of an impact it had/has on my life, both now and when I first read it when I was just a little kid.
Of course I do like some of the books more than others—I do have my favorites—but overall, this whole series is just so great.
This series will always hold a special place in my heart. I encourage you to read it, even if you think you're too old for it!
And this book is SO one of those books that can be enjoyed by all ages—over and over again. 😊

Oh the last time I watched Prince Caspian, I broke down and cried at that last part. And I NEVER cry with movies! (Or books, for that matter.)
Just that whole "we're too old" thing made me think "Ah, I'm getting so old! I can't go back!" (I know, I'm 17, hardly an old woman, but it just felt that way!) Then The Call by Regina Spektor came on and that was it. 😭
Which messages in The Last Battle? I think I'm always too distraught with everything that goes on that I miss some things...

Haha, you can do it! The books are so short so you can get through them really quickly. I got through The Silmarillion, now it's your turn! (No pressure, though.) 😉

I will do it for you!! I'm going to have to wait until Christmas Break, though but I will do it!! I really need to stop procrastinating on Narnia! 😭🤍

Hahaha nooo you're right though!!!

Yes, I cried too. I guess it's not that weird to have those feelings. I mean, now that I'm 17, things like final exams and what on earth comes after that are suddenly very real...
Well, there was this one part where a Calormene who had never followed Aslan still got into "heaven" and basically what the message was: "You can't do good things in Satan's name, because he's evil, and you can't do bad things in God's Name, because He's good. So if you do something good in Satan's name, you're actually doing it for God, and if you do something bad in God's name, you're actually doing it for Satan." It's kind of a more than one way to reach heaven thing.

Just that whole "we're too old" thing mad..."
I know! It's just so sad! I want to go back to being a little kid sometimes. Things were just so much simpler back then.
Oh, yeah. Now I remember that. I wish I could ask C.S. Lewis about that. Maybe there's some deeper meaning to it? I never really got that part, too, though. Yeah, there were a few things I didn't quite get in there. Like, I never did get the whole thing with the dwarves at the end. Yk, how they see themselves in the stable when everyone else sees that they're in Aslan's country.

Yeah that was weird as well... I used to be upset about Susan's ending, but then I read an interpretation of it that she wasn't necessarily never coming to Narnia... She just hadn't died yet. And the problem wasn't that she liked makeup and stuff, but that she was distracted from the truth

I like to imagine that Susan believed again in the end and made it to Aslan's country.

I love this deep talk!! Heard the same about Susan in an article on Lorehaven or something. I think Rowling or someone criticized Lewis for what happened to Susan but you all are right that just because she wasn't in Narnia at the end of the series doesn't mean she'll never get there.

Yeah! Besides, it's just real: sometimes people fall away. But there's always a chance for them to come back, and I know Aslan/Jesus wants that.

Yeah, I was just listening to an interview last night where there was this really dedicated Christian who completely turned away from God to go into the gay lifestyle and he spent some 30 years like that before finally finding God again.

Wow, that's awesome he came back to Christ. I'm sure God was really happy to have him come back to Him, too.

That's really beautiful!

That's really beautiful!"
Yeah! You can listen to it here if you'd like:
I think there's a LOT of good takeaways from it, things I wish I'd known earlier

Yeah, it is!!
