Read 2 times. Last read January 29, 2022 to August 16, 2024.
I'll start with honesty. This book destroyed me. And you may think because it is dark and twisted, but the true reasoning is because of the immense pressure to make this one live it up to the first and to be frank, I was a little burnt out. It wrung every last blood, sweat, and tear from my body. And I believe I came out of the other side with something beautiful - a little jagged and imperfect, but beautiful all the same.
I know some may have wanted them to reunite sooner, but I felt like I would be doing an injustice to the realities of human trafficking. And to be blunt, if I was truly being realistic, she never would've been found at all. I truly felt her trials and tribulations were necessary for her development and transformation, and I'm so proud of who she became.
Some will say Hunting isn't a romance, but I will kindly disagree. Zade and Addie have an epic love story, and the journey back to each other may be long and hard, but that doesn't make their love story less than. And they certainly don't need physical intimacy to show how much they love each other. (Though there is still plenty of that.)
Thank you all for taking this journey with me. I know it's dark, and heavy, and these characters have gone through hell and back. But who they are now? I couldn't love them more.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. This was an amazing duet. It was so painful to read so much of the second book. I cannot imagine having to write it. While this one went darker than I enjoy, I appreciated how real you kept to the horrors of what I imagine is that world, while giving us our Happily Ever after. Thank you for pushing through the burn out and not making us wait for number 2.

This book destroyed me in the very best way. Every book I've read since is just ... It just doesn't compare. Weekly I tell my best book friend how much I miss Addie and Zade. I love it so much.
Just read Chapter 37 last night. Hands down…best 🌶🍆 I have ever read/seen/heard. Better than any scene in a movie. Your writing…tone…voice…all of it…is fantastic. Your metaphors and descriptions are cerebral without sounding forced or contrived. You draw the moment out just enough to build tension without losing attention. I am HOOKED. You could re-write a dictionary and I’d read it. Hands down…new favorite author. And Zade & Adeline…such vivid and well developed characters. I feel like I KNOW them. Loving this love story.
Jeez Louise, She-Devil. Just rip out my heart, stomp on it, throw some dirt on it, and put it back in, why don’t ya? This book was fucking insane but I loved everything about it.
Do we ever figure out what the deal with Kraven is???
I loved this book as much as Satan's Affair and Haunting Adeline!!! But I am left wanting more Sibby and Kraven, also the four brothers!! I mean if it's not too much to ask.
it was truly perfect, i just can’t wait to see if you’re going to write more about Sibby her 4 henchmen and Kraven (maybe about jay and daya too 👀)

I can’t imagine the toll it took on your emotions to write this book. It took be out as a reader but I loved it so much.

I think you should write a book on Sibby and how she became who she is.

The journey Zade and Adeline went on will be one I hold near and dear to my heart. I think it highlights the importance of such difficult things often forgotten about or dismissed. There is a fine line when writing books like these, but I truly think they were executed perfectly, the structure of it all was an absolute masterpiece. You are truly my all time favourite author and I am so going to binge read for the next month!

The Cat and Mouse Duet is the first book I’ve really read since� well ever. All i can say is thank you for igniting my love of reading and for sharing quite possibly the MOST epic love story of my life. The chokehold this story has on me is another level. Although I don’t know whether I should curse you because Zade will forever live rent free in my head. You are amazing! ❤️

What a one, two punch! This was the best two book series I have read so far. Thank you for being willing to bring to light the darkness of human trafficking. While fiction, you managed to nick the belly of the beast many cannot even conceive of the terrors surrounding the perimeters of our society, and you managed to do so in a dark romance.
I need another book with an update on Sibby and even bringing Rio back around. A pregnancy. Just all around more! Ugh, I can’t get over how much I loved this cat and mouse duo and how many emotions happened throughout the entire story! Thank youuuu ❤️❤️
