Winter's Heart (The Wheel of Time, #9)

**This is a spoiler filled review**
It has happened. I have made my long awaited return to this iconic series... And the Slog worse. I honestly don't have a lot to say so I'll just say that I enjoyed three things hence the .25 star but other than that this was genuinely one of the most dreadfully slow books I've ever had to get through.
Firstly I loved the final sequence with the cleansing of saidin. It was a long-awaited event and I thought all the set up really paid off. Secondly I enjoyed the bonding ceremony with Rand, Min, Elayne, and Aviendha. It was nice to see all the women loving each other as well as Rand and I think it was nice for him to have a Bond with actually someone who chooses. On the third part that I liked was a bit of the Cadsuane narrative when she is funny at the end of chapter 25.
Other than those, the rest of this book was so slow to me. We had no relevant progression with any plotline other than perhaps Mat. Overall though I was just so bored and I don't know how it can get worse (allegedly).
