Gone Girl, from the very first page of this book I felt like reading one of the books from Chicken Soup series to be more precise Chicken soup for the romantic soul but it’s not. As I made progress in my reading I couldn't bear with the language of this books; basically this books narrated by a couple who are in their thirties but language which they use seems to be like of teenage kids.

Nick and Amy Dunne’s mismatched relationship: this forms the pivot of this book every single page of this says:

“Marriage is such a hardest thing��.
“I have become a strange thing�� I have become a ...��
Marriage is a hard work�� marriage is pain....

I want to make clear to all the reader who choose this books, I read lot of reviews about his book inside and outside GR where people states this book explores the psychology and dynamics of a long-term relationship

It’s nothing related to exploring the psychology and dynamics of a long-term relationship�� it a story of an attention-seeking wife who went weird.

Outside The Book

This is one kind of disorder called as Histrionic personality disorder (HPD) personality disorder in which people act in a very emotional and dramatic way that draws attention to them. Associated features include egocentrism, self-indulgence, continuous longing for appreciation, and persistent manipulative behavior to achieve their own needs.

Author never mentions this term anywhere in her book. But this book is all about that type of characters.

To narrate the story of this weird character, author has chosen the plot devise as Marriage an institution instead of an object or a character. That makes the whole book a crap.

I didn’t stop reading; I was looking forward for the end. That even proved to be a disaster.

Marriage is not about pretending, if you are imperfect…show them you are imperfect, don’t try to pretend you are perfect. You are not dating for one night stand, you are lifelong partners…you are man and wife…live without masks.
