“Would you follow me anywhere?
“Into the sun. Conrad was all intensity.
Finally we meet the missing Wroth brother, Conrad. For the last 300years he’s hated his brothers for turning him into a vampire, into one of the monsters he hunted and he’s been determined to get his revenge. But Conrad is also suffering from madness because of the memories he’s consumed with the blood he’s taken as an assassin. But his brothers are determined to save him, so they kidnap him in order to help him get control taking him to an abandoned manor. But Conrad is beyond saving or so he thought until a ghost captivates him, giving him his first moments of peace in a very long time.
Néomi Laress, a famous ballet dancer has been dead for 80 years, murdered in her own home by her ex-fiancé and she’s been existing in her home ever since. Now her existence has suddenly become interesting again now that an enraged vampire and his brothers has moved into her home. Néomi can’t help but be fascinated by Conrad, wanting to save him from his madness.
They seemed to fit in every way. Yes, he was half-mad, but as a Prohibition-era ghost with a penchant for stealing condoms, moon pies, and bras, she wasn’t exactly in touch with reality herself.
I loved Néomi, how full of life she was even though she was a ghost. She was feisty and passionate and just what Conrad needed. No matter how bad he got when his memories and rage got the better of him, she always stood up to him and knew how to handle him.
She was his sole weakness. And one he’d never anticipated having.
I love broken heroes so of course I loved Conrad. Plus he’s a virgin and that was very sexy ;-) He’s just as dominating as his brothers but luckily Néomi didn’t let him get away with it.
“Néomi, it brought me to you. If I’d known what was in store for me, I’d have helped the Russian plunge his sword.
I loved their romance, the impossibility of it with her being a ghost and the sexy times were scorching. I love how possessive and protective the Conrad was over Néomi and how she was able to calm him.
I love the plot of this series and how humorous and action-packed it is. This series is addictive with its captivating story-line, fascinating characters and passionate romance and a must read for all PNR lovers. Highly recommended.
