A reluctant 2 stars for the fourth book in a series I have loved so far but what a disappointment this book was in comparison to the other 3 books I have read.
2.5 stars for a book that was too short and had very little content of any real substance, yet the hints of Sarah Maas's brilliance are still there in the plot building that no doubt she saved for her final book of the series.
I think she should have left this book out of the series or combined with either book 3 or 5.
My takes from this one
1. Feyre and Rhys are rebuilding their Court after the devastation caused by the last battle
2. Elaine is still offering very little to the story and
3. Nesta is still sulking.
Yawn, snooze, sleep and can only dream of the book it could have been, but wasn’t

Sorry it was a disappointment, Margaret! I hope you current book is more enjoyable.
Sad to see this let you down. I hope the main part of the series doesn't get bogged down by this addition.
I’m the only one who couldn’t get into this series. I tried the first book twice, and only made it halfway both times. From what I’ve heard even devoted fans didn’t think much of this instalment.
This was my least favorite as well. Hopefully you enjoy the next one more!

Great review Margaret, totally agree with you. I was really disappointed. I was so hyped up with expectation having read the previous books in the series, felt the storyline could have been shared with the previous and latter books in this series.

Unfortunately you have read the best two in this series books 2 and 3. I wasn’t a fan of Nesta so the last book was a bit of a disappointment too but still a great book. Much better than this one though 💖
