What the heck was this? The Wives by Tarryn Fisher was so trippy and so twisted, I loved every minute of it! I was hooked from the very first page, and I couldn't put it down! What a crazy roller coaster ride this thriller was! Tarryn Fisher absolutely delivered this book! There are characters you will root for, and characters that you want to slap across the face, because I certainly wanted to do both! I have no clue how to explain this book, other than that it was insane, and I highly recommend it if you love a good thriller. Other people may disagree with me on this book, but that's okay! I love to hear other opinions! Tarryn Fisher has become one of my go to authors! After finishing this book I have no clue what to think!!

Who exactly is your husband, and how far would you be willing to go to find out?
And who is his mysterious third wife?

Thursday's husband, Seth, has two other wives. Thursday has never met them, and doesn't know anything about them. Thursday agreed to this unusual arrangement because she's so crazy about Seth. Seth is a polygamist and was raised in Utah. The first time Thursday met Seth, she was in a coffee shop as a nursing student studying for her nurse exam, Seth came in and started talking to her, Thursday knew absolutely nothing about Seth and who he really was as a person, so she instantly fell in love with him. But one day, Thursday finds something. Something that tells a very different and horrifying story about the man she married. But one day, while Thursday is doing laundry, she finds a scrap of paper in Seth's pants pocket, an appointment reminder for a woman named Hannah, and you just know it's another of Seth's wives.

Thursday has never met the other wives. None of them know each other because of this unconventional arrangement, you can only see your husband only one day a week. Thursday loves Seth so much she doesn't care. Only that's what she told herself. Thursday then realizes that Seth has a third wife, Regina, an attorney. Thursday thought she was fine with this crazy arrangement, but she can't help herself, she tracks down Hannah, and under false pretenses they strike up a friendship. Hannah has no idea who Thursday really is. Hannah starts showing up to coffee dates with Thursday with telltale bruises, Thursday starts talking to Hannah and realize she's being abused by her husband. Who, of course, is also Thursday's husband, Seth. Thursday has never known Seth to ever be violent. The night Thursday met Seth at the coffee shop, she thought he was so sweet and not anything like other guys she has dated in the past.

One night when it's Thursday's day to have Seth, she brings up Hannah. Seth instantly becomes violent with Thursday because she violated her agreement. Seth pushes Thursday which causes her to black out and end up in the hospital. Seth and Thursday tell the doctors two completely different stories. Seth won't tell the truth, but Thursday thinks she's the one telling the truth. When Seth hears what Thursday has told the doctors he thinks she's completely crazy. Seth tells the doctors that Thursday has tried hurting herself, when the doctors think it's best to put her in a psychiatric ward, Thursday really questions herself if she's really crazy or not, Thursday believes she's not as crazy as Seth is making her out to be. I was completely shocked over the ending of this book. I went in completely blind not knowing anything and I'm glad I chose to do so.
