Guns, Germs, and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies

This book explains why some countries became more powerful than others.
The author says that it had to do with things like geography and the environment.
Some places had more animals and plants to help people to survive and made them stronger.
Other places did not have as much so they struggled more.
This book is interesting and helps us to understand more history and geography about 13,000 years in the world.
The author, Jared Diamond provides a fresh and insightful perspective on history and social science, making it a must-read for anyone interested in these subjects especially me.

Thank you for your compliments and encouragement, Fiza. Happy reading!

Thank you so much, Stacey. Great book! Great theory too!😊

Agree with you, Dmitri. 😊

JD did not just refer to resources. He refereed to having particular resources and particular animals at the right time and order.
The Arab Empire, P-Muslim, grew along a part of the world with the important east west corridor, along which pack animals can move, plus they had plenty in the way of iron and other metals. Africa depends on north south migrations of animals that do not work.
He speaks a lot about the problem of Africa, only some of it do I remember this many years later.
If you at all liked Guns Germs, Please take up what I think of as a better book:
Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Survive

Thank you for your comments and recommendation, Phrodrick. I will plan to read this book soon.
