did not like it

that threesome scene happening made it unbearable for me to keep reading (mind you i saw the spoiler after starting and had to check it before continuing!) and sadly any prior excitement i had for this book dropped to zero, i will not buy neither this book or the next two and final copies. it’s very sad an author felt the need to caterer to certain group of fans and bring such an unnecessary scene to a book. i have absolutely nothing against poly relationships however, it’s very obvious that after the own author’s statements about how poppy and kieran maintained a “siblings-like relationship and how their character arcs developed during the first two books, that this wasn’t her original intention at all. having cas captive and poppy developing feelings for his best friend? reuniting with him and thinking about kieran instead? just overall very sad and disappointing.

note after the author’s recent statement: we’re not queerphobic because we rated this book one star and because we’re pointing the absolute utter failure it was don’t be daft jla we do not lack in the reading department, you however do lack in the writing one.

WILDE This just goes to show that JLA didn't plan this series.

✦ rhythm ✦ honestly so disappointed, way to ruin wholesome and established relationships. thanks to your review I won’t be wasting my time reading this book!

Julie 🕊️ ~books.and.chocolat3~ OMG ! I can’t read the book .. reuniting with him and thinking about Kieran ???? It’s the worst thing I can think about ..

message 4: by Lana (new) - rated it 1 star

Lana Crotty I am seriously not queerphobic, I would have actually preferred Cas giving Kieran a reach around & jerking him off than him letting Kieran touch his HEARTMATE that way!

message 5: by Emma (new)

Emma Washburn Where did she say the queerphobic thing?? Genuinely asking, I need to find this

You honestly think JLA has the balls to write MM? I seriously doubt it.

It's probably in her facebook group.

honestly it's even worse! whole thing is heavily anti-climatic, she basically admitted she left cas captive so poppy and kieran could develop their relationship. it's emotional cheating for most the entire book. kieran comforts poppy while being naked, heavily flirts with and starts feeling about her like he used to feel about his late love. it's so weird how even tawny even questions poppy at some point along the lines of "why is kieran acting like your husband" and poppy admits their feelings are "complicated".

I'm not able to link the post because it was on instagram stories but quoting her exact words "i spy a lot of one-star reviews revealing who the queerphobic in the community are. Thanks for revealing yourselves."

message 10: by Vinita (new)

Vinita Kushwaha Like in the entire book there was not one poppycas moment where they were not thinking about Kieran mentioning him while having sex...man casteel his poppy's heartmate !!!!shouldn't he be over protective about anyone who even looks at her...and casteel called Kieran his brother in tcogb and suddenly he's being this male who shares his wife with another male just because she wants to...i was legit CRINGEING while reading the joining...and also every other moment where Kieran Keeps touching poppy!!! Like stopp!! Only the next nyktos and sera book can save me now

Bobbie Paton The Instagram story that you’ve just quoted was not a comment by JLA. It was from a reader on Instagram and somehow it got attributed to the author. I don’t know who started the rumour but this is how misinformation gets spread about so I’m just setting that straight for anyone wondering.

I just realised that today after someone pointed that out because the og screenshot didn't have the username whoever the author did release back to back statements the day of the books released that targeted any fan who disliked the book and those who rated the book lowly, deleted comments and even banning any opinion on the her pages of people who didn't favor the book and approached about the badly representation on her book, my og statement still stands.

Bobbie Paton She did not call anyone queerphobic simply for giving her book a bad review though which is what Emma had asked about above. The screenshot making the rounds is not from the author. That’s my only point. 👍🏼

Emilia So true all of this 😭💔

Missy I'm happy to see I'm not the only one that felt this way. Let me say, I love M/M, or F/M/M etc. But this was just weird. So so awkward. Was it necessary? Did it add to the story? I don't think so? I felt like most of it was forced, then emotional cheating, and then the most awkward three some ever?? I don't buy Keiran hating Poppy, to treating her like a little sister, to now all three of them are extremely awkwardly shacking up? I'm left feeling blah and disappointed.
