I LOVED the writing! It was sharp and hilarious.

There was definitely part of me that thought we should talk about this, but was I really going to argue with him when he was willing to tongue fuck me into a better mood? No. No, I was not. Let the tongue fucking commence.

I also loved the premise of the story, and the first half was highly entertaining. How could you not enjoy a story with a line like this.

I did feel there was something missing as the story continued. I craved the monster to be a little more monster-y, and I wanted to know so much more about the history of these seemingly polar opposites. I also (view spoiler)[ really wanted to know more about how her lust gave him power!! He feeds off her lusty energy, but how? Did it soak into his skin, through his monster cock? How does this work? How many Shades could she power? Does it tire her out, or is she just exhausted from all the orgasms? I must know more!!

Other thoughts while reading. These are elite Hunters yet we have zero info on how they train, or why they need so much training for a creature that's basically helpless in the human world. How do you stab a shadow? The silver knife just makes them dissolve? Where do they go? Do they believe in the afterlife? Am I asking too many philosophical questions for a simple monster romance? Remember in Monsters Inc, when they powered their city by frightening children, but soon learned laughter created more power than screams? This is an adult, monster romance version of that movie, at least that's my take! Fabulous side characters, and excellent writing. This was a fun, light, somewhat slow-burn monster romance.

I'm not sure if this qualifies as a BR since I hopped on part way through, but I'm thankful Isabella brought this gem to my attention.
