Conflicting thoughts. Can't really understand do I go in my full rant review mode or praise it?
Keeping it simple -
What I liked
✔️ Characters- This is a character driven book. The way Sera and Nyktos have matured after the events of the last book, is commendable.
✔️ Romance- The chemistry between Sera and Nyktos is off the charts. It's so easy to root for them. Romance is one thing that kept me interested and reading, instead of just skimming through this book. Trust me y'all will love it. Also, I admit that they're the superior couple.
✔️ Writing- Oh wow, how the writing has improved in this one. If I compare it to FBAA, which lets be honest, it was written in a very Wattpad manner. But JLA really is a talented writer. I mean who else can write a 615 page book without a plot and still make people read it?! Sorry
✔️Ending- I liked the cliffhanger.
What I didn't like
� Lack of Plot- It's non existent. I've started to think JLA just writes for the sake of "getting the bag" because the book has ended and NOTHING happened. Zero.
� Pacing- Being a fast reader, this slowed me down too. There were so many unnecessary details that did not need to be said. It's just so incredibly slow.

� Too wordy- Reading this felt like reading an unedited draft.

� Ending- Even though I liked the cliffhanger, the ending as an overall felt underwhelming. It was also a bit predictable.

Note to the author- Bestie..JLA, my personal advice to you is nurture the talent you have in a good way. Don't just write books for the sake of writing and take time to build on the plot before actually writing. I know you gotta get the bag, but please don't make fans suffer for it. This book could have been done within 300 pages had you been a little less greedy and smarter.
I apologise in advance for the above note to her fans, cause it may sound harsh but it's unfiltered truth. I'm not going to take my words back.

the plot in this book was definitely confusing (like where was it going??) and felt like a textbook teaching me shit lol but I was love sera and nyktos so much that the character focus and romance development was enough for me

Great review. I have found myself slowly disliking her recent work work because it feels like money grab to me. She use to be one of my favorite authors but now days not so much. I love her writing but I can only endure so much, I’m tired of being disappointed in her work. P.S. to her fans�.. it’s not cute to attack people who’s opinions are different than yours. The world will be an unimaginative place if we all are in an echo chamber.

60% through and I think I'm calling it quits. I cannot handle JLA's continued lack of plot the FBAA universe. There's a lot of critiques on her writing I can overlook, but I am getting very bored. The characters and romance are captivating, but it isn't enough for me anymore.

The first 300 pages is repetitive smut. It sucks because I’m very captivated by the characters and universe, but I can’t get passed how it feels like she doesn’t know which direction is going 95% of the time.

Omg yes. This is what I thought too. NOTHING HAPPENED. ANOTHER F*ING cliffhanger and none of the issues in the first book resolved. I feel like I’m going to make up a suitable ending in my head and call it a day. I don’t enjoy waiting 100 years for a story.

Yes, i agree. It took me a full month to push through and finish the book. I literally just finished it and went to ŷ to see what people though. Your review is exactly how i felt.
