What a wonderful take of Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None. Christie fans will see the similarities right away and will like it too. The story is told from the point of view of the youngest daughter, Daisy Darker. The current chapters are told hour by hour and we also get snippets of the past which gives the reader great insight into our narrator's head.
I loved everything about this book, I was so apprehensive about reading it because who can go up against an incomparable Agatha Christie!? She is such an iconic writer in the genre but Feeney manages to make it her own while at the same time honouring Ms. Christie. I was so caught up in this one I managed it read it in a couple of sittings, it is that good. This is the type of book (that I love) where you want to read it again once you know what the big reveal is!
This book is perfect for Halloween reading as it takes place on Nana's birthday which just happens to fall on the spooky holiday!
Special shout out to my local library for lending me a copy. Thanks, !
