So I read this book for my book groups BOTM. I had put it off for a while because it didn’t jump out to me. Unfortunately this was the same while reading it, I hate to say because it had such great potential but I thought it was okay?

There was no real depth into the mafia world, Sabreena or Alexi, everything just kind of touched the surface and never went any deeper. I hope we get a book about Alexi and why he supposedly wants out of this world so much. However, during the “arrangement�� he did not for a second act like it.

Then there’s Lucian, we learnt so much about him & his meetings with Dr. Hayes and that bloody coin. Now I really liked Lucian, even though he’s in the mafia world he was quite sweet, especially to Sabreena but bringing that coin into the bedroom? No thank you, wasn’t feeling it.

Overall, the book felt a little rushed and there was no real depth to the story or to most of the Characters. Maybe in Dominiques books we will find out a bit more or will hope it is better written.
Still not sure if I will read it.
