3/5 ⭐️ So I started this series by reading Heartless first and I really enjoyed that one. I was excited for this one but it just didn’t hit like Heartless did for me. The premise of this story just didn’t interest me and the reason for Summer having to babysit Rhett was a little ridiculous in my opinion 🤷🏻‍♀.

While I didn’t like the premise of this book, I did enjoy the romance a bit and found it really cute. I also enjoyed the ranch vibes. The writing was really good and I really loved the side characters. I also loved the spicy scenes 🥵. That bar scene where Rhett licks whipped cream off of Summer’s tits? That was hot af! I loved it!

Overall, it was just an okay read for me. I didn’t love it but I didn’t hate it either. There was just nothing really special about this book. Also, this is marketed as an enemies to lovers romance but it didn’t really feel like one to me.

Kristina I felt the same with this one. It has some good parts but the premise was weird, why is she a babysitting when she’s got a full on law degree? He wasn’t great either as a hero, the second book is much better.

Vivian Diaz Yeah. The premise was really strange. It just didn’t make sense to me and I found it a bit unbelievable. I do agree that the second book is much better. Cade stole the show for me in this book and in his own book lol. I also loved the little scenes with his son Luke in this one 🥰

Kristina 💯. I haven’t read the third and have seen mixed reviews, are you going to try it?

Vivian Diaz Yes! I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews on that one too! I’ll probably read it whenever the mood strikes lol. What about you?

Kristina I have it on my kindle wish list and tbr here and haven’t felt like picking it up. I don’t love second chance or friends to lovers with mutual pining, that paired with hockey players just spells disaster for me. I was waiting to see what others thought first, but nothing is convincing me one way or the other, so it will be sitting there for awhile.

Vivian Diaz I usually love all of those tropes but I wasn’t really interested in Jasper when he appeared in the previous books 🤷🏻‍♀️lol & if you do get to it I hope you enjoy it 🤞🏼. Have you read any other books by this author?

Kristina Just those first two chestnut springs. The sister from that family is part of an earlier series but it’s not rated as well. I want to read her because I enjoy books set in Canada for obvious reasons but I haven’t been into contemporary recently except in audio. If she gets hers on audio I will definitely read more.

Vivian Diaz Ah okay. I really need to start reading audiobooks. I have hoopla through my library and they have a ton of good audiobooks but I can never concentrate whenever I listen to them 😭 lol.

Kristina I have that problem too, that’s why contemporary works for me there. I don’t pay close enough attention to get bothered by the played out tropes.
If I try mystery that way I’m always rewinding because I missed some big clue. 😂

Vivian Diaz Lmaoooo 😂😂😂

gi_reads30 Haha I just now realize I am at a minority. I enjoyed this one (Flawless) more than Heartless 😂

Vivian Diaz Lol I think it depends on which one we read first. I feel like if I read Flawless before Heartless, maybe I would have enjoyed it more 😆
