it was amazing
bookshelves: fantasy-urban, action-suspense, mystery-thrillers, f-a-v-o-r-i-t-e-s

Harry Dresden rode a zombie dinosaur through the streets of a terrified blackout city at the eve of Halloween midnight to battle evil necromancers trying to open a spirit vortex to gain god-like power.

There. That's just the singular line anyone needs to decide to read this book, and also to be aware of what a truly badass epic this seventh part of Dresden Files series really is. Seriously, just "Harry Riding Zombie Dinosaur" should be more than enough. 11 out of 10.

Tim The Enchanter Glad you liked it. This is one of my three favourites in the series. The latest one might be the best. The quality is good all the way along.

Rizwan Khalil I loved it! It was simply superb and nonstop thrill ride from the very first page to last... It's currently my second most favorite Dresden, the Best is still the 5th one: Death Masks. I didn't much like the 6th one Blood Rites, which aside for the revelations didn't have much action or thrill to begin with, and the always shifting storyline (adult movie mystery/White Court/Mavra) was not very enjoyable (it was good obviously, just not great). My third favorite is still the 3rd one: Grave Peril. How's the next one: Proven Guilty? Should I take a break from Dresden for some change with Rollins' The Kill Switch and Baldacci's The Target, or is it as awesome as Dead Beat? Thanks :)

Ayaj Khan ( বন্ধন ) I think the best book in the series is the 12th one "Changes". Just mesmerising.. :D

Tim The Enchanter Ayaj is right. Changes was amazing. I'm between Changes and Skin Games (15) as the best one. The next one you have to read was a disappointment after this instalment. It's god but not great.
