Oh man!!! I didn’t connect with this book - there wasn't much of a story and the whole thing was uneventful and underwhelming unfortunately. I didn't like the characters either particularly the MC - honestly I wouldn't have called her either.
One very forgettable read and I found myself skimming this in the second half when the so called twist failed to breathe new life into a book that was struggling to pull me in. Then the ending held some interest but only just - which is why this is a 2 stars. Well written but then very little else.
Perhaps I read a different book because my version says they had seven perfect days together on the cover not six. In the book we only had about 2 days of kerfuffling as well. Not that any of this matters really. The important piece to the story is that Mr Lover Lover didn’t call after all that love!!!!
Please read other more positive reviews to get a more rounded view of this one because this clearly wasn't for me, although I didn't hate it.

THANK GOODNESS this wasn’t just me! I had such a miserable time reading this one, and I thought I was completely alone! I also went into this thinking it was somewhat of a thriller and clearly that was wrong so it didn’t help 😂 ‘I wouldn’t have called her either’…spot on! Hope your next book is a winner, Margaret! 💖

Fair review, Margaret! I haven't read this book but have tried another title by the same author, and had similar feelings. Maybe her writing style isn't for the two of us. I hope your next read is stellar! 💜

Oh, Margaret, thank you for your review. I wish I had read it before I doggedly tried to find some motivation to finish the book!...oh, I see now that I did read your review before embarking on the punishing trail! ...so many wasted hours. I should have listened more carefully to the warning signs.
