*Behind The Scenes*
This is the story of a fictional rock band based in the 70’s. They are called ‘The Six I listened to the Audiobook and feel that it makes sense because there are multiple points of view and each member plus additional players form the cast. Because each person has their own voice rather than one person attempting to cover all the voices it had an authentic feel about it.
The band is not quite there with the lead Billy writing their songs and having the biggest say in the group. At the same time another artist Daisy Jones is starting to make music. A decision is made that Daisy joins the group for one or two songs and it changes the dynamics of the group.
Soon they are Daisy Jones & The Six and they are making hit after hit, then something happens that changes the band forever
We get to see a lot of the back biting and tensions that go on behind the scenes as well as personal relationships and the drugs etc.
Taylor Jenkins Reid has created a group that feels real and the support members of the group often get a raw deal.
Looking forward to watching the series which may play out better on screen
