Wawza!! I can’t believe this is Emilia Hart’s debut. She is incredibly talented writer. I will definitely keep my eyes open for her future books.

This pretty much sums up the book.

The story evolves around three different characters.

Violet Ayres- is taking place in 1619. She is on trial for accused of being a witch.

Violet Ayres- is taking place in 1942. She is living with her brother Graham and her very abusive father in Ortin Hall.

Kate Ayres- is taking place in 2019. She is in a very abusive relationship with her boyfriend living in London.

All three women are related and have very interesting personalities with very different backgrounds, however their stories are linked in a very special way.

I will not go into the story any further however if you are into historical fiction where the story centers around female power, endurance and connection, then please do not skip this book.

I also loved the cover. So beautiful and rich. If anything buy it for the cover 😆
