did not like it
bookshelves: dnf, children-s-middle-school

As much as I hate to say it, but this book is really boring. I love children's books and read Harry Potter and His Dark Materials several times. Inkheart disappointed me. I never stop reading a book until I read at least 100 pages, to give an author a chance to develop a story. Unfortunately, I had to stop reading this book after page 150. It is extremely slowpaced and uneventful. It is surprising to know that kids actually have enough patience to finish and thoroughly enjoy this book. Maybe it's just not my cup of tea...

Jami Couldn't agree with you more! You really didn't miss out on much by not finishing it.

Tatiana That's what I thought. This book seems to appeals to a lot of people, have no idea why though...

Jami Yeah, I haven't been able to figure it out either. I even gave the second one a chance and really felt the same way about it. I don't get what the big draw is . . . it's so boring!

Zach You should try to finish it, the second one is much more fast paced and the third isnt as good, but it's better than inkheart.

Athena Ivashkova ~鈾 It's why I never picked this book up when I was young.

Sharon Miller Again, I agree.

Libby Wellman I have no clue how you thought it wa slow

Libby Wellman Sorry I accidentally pressed send. It wasn't really that slow and it gave a lot more character build up than a normal book which is a plus. And I think it was a really good (non-boring) book.

Samantha Jordan Inkheart is a great book you just have to give it a chance.

You don鈥檛 even know the big scene at the end.
As another commenter said books are meant to be big because they have the whole world inside of them.
