This was an okay and fun read, till we reached the third act conflict (the last 100 pages) that was both expected and annoying. Her reaction was so unfair and didn’t make sense.

The series as a whole isn’t a favourite of mine and kinda forgettable, but it wasn’t totally bad tho. Some parts I really enjoyed, but I kinda struggled to connect with the characters.

EmBibliophile southern lady reads- ugh me too, specially when it’s unnecessary and not done well. Thank you sweetie! xx

EmBibliophile Anna- thank you so much sweetie! xx

EmBibliophile Lilyya- I actually kinda liked wrecked. The last two books were way better than the first two. The whole series wasn’t memorable, but not bad either. Thank you sweetie! xx

Kate I am so annoyed by the third-act conflict, unless it'd done well! If it doesn't make sense, why put it in there?? Hope your next read is better, Em!

EmBibliophile Right?? It’s so annoying when it’s just thrown there for the sake of having a conflict and so unnecessary. Thank you tho sweetie! xx

Claire Monti This is exactly how I felt. I just think Lauren Asher’s writing is for me. I wasn’t a huge fan of the series and then I read this one and was actually vibing with it until the third act conflict. I think they were both in the wrong, but she totally overreacted. It left me so disappointed and I skimmed over the last 100 ish pages

EmBibliophile Right?? The third act conflict could’ve been done better, instead, it left me so disappointed, specially because I was having fun with the book./sorry to hear it was bad for you too. xx

Caroline I just finished the book and I loved it but man, that third act conflict really ruined it for me. I thought it was stupid how she reacted. It really didn’t make any sense.

EmBibliophile Right?? Ugh I feel you! It really ruined it for me as well!

annie ooh sorry it sucked! It's seriously common with these type of books!

EmBibliophile Unfortunately true. Thank you tho sweetie! xx

Daniek Vegter To me the third act conflict kinda made sense. Because Chloe had such a difficult childhood and everything she went through with her mother, I can understand why she reacts so heavily to being lied to again. She was being lied to by the one person she finally was able to love and who loved her back, so that again confirmed that she was not lovable (in her eyes). Trauma will do that to a person I guess. I hope I have explained it well

Daniek Vegter Ofcourse it is my opinio so it is totally okay if you don't agree

EmBibliophile You’ve got a valid point!! I didn’t see it like that, but now that you’ve pointed it out, it totally make sense why she’d feel like that. Thank you!! xx
