liked it

Yes, it’s Alan Moore and he’s a genius and this was dark fiction at its Victorian best and it’s an exhaustively researched study of the Whitechapel murders.

And, yes, it had some very interesting twists and turns that were not expected and some very unique perspectives.

But!

It was really, really depressingly long and with such a dark storyline anyway, it was just a little too much.

I’m a big fan of Moore’s work and this was the kind of artistry that I would expect from such a talent. This one just did not work for me.

Lyn Both the letters and the actual dialogue were difficult to read. It got distracting. He’s brilliant, and I love his work but this is not my favorite. Just too dark and depressing
