If you came to this review to try and figure out what happens after Game Changer’s cliffhanger, you’re outta luck! I thought I had already fallen in love with them during the first book, but boy was I wrong! The universe kept aligning every star it could. Clay and Nova are always in each other’s orbit. And while it may be a tough situation, it’s beautiful in its own way. It’s one thing to be brokenhearted and still in love from across the country, but under each other’s noses? My heart ached for them. Once the wooing and apology tour started, mine and Nova’s heart never stood a chance! Their second first kiss made me so giddy. Then I had to remind myself that there’s still a whole other book, and I’ve been in a state of panic ever since! I can tell Piper didn’t just do her homework, but she’s a fan! And as a sports fan reading a sports romance, that makes a difference! I am just as invested with what Clay and the team has going on as I do with teams and sports I actually follow!
