What an unhinged book. It's a short read, so I plowed through it pretty quickly.
Basically, this is a book about a woman who is completely obsessed with her husband. She is as much in love with him now, fifteen years into their marriage, as she was at the beginning. She patterns her days after his every move, and takes offense at the smallest transgressions. Not sitting close enough to her? Not holding her hand? Insisting on sleeping with the room completely dark? She records each wrong in her notebook and devises small punishments as paybacks. One day, he tells her that they need to talk. Is this the end of their relationship?
The ending of this took a turn that I did not expect. I give the author props for taking this bizarre narrative in a sideways direction that left me quite satisfied. This book is described as darkly comedic, and I didn't get that at all. It's the story of a woman on the edge of obsessive sanity.
I listened to this as an audiobook and the narrator does an excellent job at conveying the woman's dark nature and the depths of her obsessive paranoia. If you're looking for a very dark twisted book, then look no further.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book, all opinions are my own.

I'll have to look for that one!

I didn't get funny for this one at all. Dark yes.

Definitely!

It's certainly dark and twisted

It's definitely unhinged!

Thanks Srivalli!

You should definitely give it a try! The audiobook is on Hoopla

I did too, I loved how it ended.

It was worth it!

I can't wait to see what you think!
