No one is more disappointed than me that this fell flat for me. I love Holly Jackson but seriously what did she do this this book? Add melatonin to it for a good nights rest? I’ll have Holly know for further reference it didn’t cure my insomnia since I’m allergic to sleep so I could read too much at a time🤣🤣 I’m also allergic to reading slumps😒

Let’s jump in I rather not Annabel (dare she be called anything but Bel) is the protagonist. Her mother disappeared without a trace 16 years ago when she was just 2. While shooting a documentary of her mothers disappearance, she comes back. She just reappears. Annabel…Bel sorry🙄 has a lot of questions. That involve her mom. She doesn’t think Rachel is telling the truth. Actually if you ask her she “knows so�� 2 pages after her mother’s reappearance.

Characters (my biggest flex is I never liked anyone)
🎬~Annabel was annoying and disrespectful. Being inside her head made mine want to blow up.
🎥~Rachel honestly idk what to say about her without spoilers😭🤣
🎬~Ash is a no.
🎥~all the other family members either put me to sleep or made me what to bash my head up against the wall

Which leads me to talk ✨romance�� if that’s what it’s even called in this book
Absolutely not. I felt not one spark of anything between ash & bel.

The family was out of wack, like you think I am crazy? Check the dictionary and a picture of these clowns will be under it🤣

The pacing was SLOW🐢 like jem replying to me slow well the ending was enough to get me reading onward it was poor. I wanted something more, I just don’t know what😭🤣 it’s a cliffhanger but not. Like I might continue this on to a series (pls don’t)

Also I would have like an epilogue of that one little question that was in all of our heads at the end😒 there Holly goes again making us question questions🤭
