I read this after reading a review by my Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ friend Jonas (thanks Jonas!). It was a really lovely and inspiring review. So I added the book to my queue. Plus the cover is so beautiful.
I think I liked Jonas' review better than I liked the book! The book was fine, and I can see why it's popular and even award worthy. However, I also felt like I could've been reading a book for my college Buddhism class. The book embodies a lot of the conversation we had in that class.
I was a little confused about the ending. Without giving away a spoiler, something is introduced near the end that made me question if the astronauts survive, but given the book is a snapshot of their time in space, it's unclear if their survivability is even in question for anyone else but me.
Good book to poke you into wondering some big life questions. 3.5 stars.
