really liked it
bookshelves: short-stories, favorite-authors, women-writers

In this very short story, Atwood reminds me of the uniqueness of the mother-daughter bond, and how it borders on the supernatural. I also loved the way it evoked the 1950’s: tuna noodle casserole and whispering on the hall phone! Perhaps a little glimpse into Atwood’s own alchemy.

You can listen to what I think is a shortened version of the full story here:

Margaret M - (having a challenging time and on GR as much as I can) This title threw me but I enjoyed this too. Great comments Kathleen 💖

I didn't realize what I read was a shortened version until I read your review! Now I must find it and read the whole thing. Thanks, Margaret!
